Thomas O. Wall was a native southern Californian, born in Oceanside. Thomas grew up in Westminster, deciding as a senior in high school that he wanted to be a firefighter. Thomas and his wife Chris married in 1974 and had 3 kids: Ian, Meghan and Joel. Thomas spent most of his career stationed in Irvine but finished his 23 years at Station 21 in Tustin. He was a self-taught guitar player, which gave him, his family, and his crew at the station many hours of singing. He once was given a community award for containing a house fire with a garden hose. He loved nothing more than getting to his station early to catch up on firehouse news.
