Michael Le Beauf
Michael Le Beauf is a Fire Captain with the Orange County Fire Authority. Born in Long Beach and raised in Corona as the middle of five children, Michael is the first in his family to become a firefighter and a source of pride for his loved ones.
Before pursuing a career in the fire service, Michael worked as a Helpdesk Analyst and Data Security Analyst while completing his education at Santa Ana College, Mt. SAC, Orange Coast College, and Cal Coast College. He discovered his passion for firefighting and joined OCFA, where he quickly distinguished himself by earning his Paramedic license, Technical Rescue qualification, and serving as both a Fireground Survival instructor and member of the Fire Apparatus Engineer cadre.
Michael values the teamwork, mentorship, and community engagement that define the fire service. He emphasizes the importance of pushing past limits, learning from others’ experiences, and doing the small things that positively impact the community.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys traveling, cooking (often with a spicy twist), exploring new cultures and cuisines, golfing, hunting, fishing, and volunteering with emergency medical services at his local church. He attributes much of his success to the guidance and support of mentors and the diverse, dedicated people he works alongside every day.
Michael advises aspiring firefighters: “You’re going to get what you put into it. Never quit when it gets tough.” His dedication, professionalism, and passion for service make him a valued member of OCFA and an inspiration to his colleagues and community alike.
