Macaine Piercy
Firefighter Macaine Piercy carries on a proud family tradition of public service, blending dedication, teamwork, and community involvement in every aspect of his life. Born into a family with a long history of service, Macaine was inspired by his father, a respected LA County Fire Captain, and his grandfather, who served as Police Chief of Downey.
Before joining the fire service, Macaine pursued a career in law enforcement, following in his grandfather’s footsteps as a police officer with the San Diego Police Department. Yet, growing up around fire stations and seeing his father’s work firsthand, he knew his true calling was to serve as a firefighter. In 2015, Macaine made the transition and joined OCFA.
Outside of his firefighting duties, Macaine and his wife Dani, a successful real estate agent, live in San Clemente with their three young children. He is deeply involved in the fire service community, having taught two OCFA fire academies, competed in firefighter soccer at the Firefighter Olympics, and contributed as a member of the OC Firefighters off-road team. Macaine is also active in his church and enjoys spending time with his family at the beach, lake, or mountains.
In addition to his service at OCFA, Macaine co-owns a business offering guided off-road tours in Baja. What sets him apart is the heart behind the business: each trip includes visits to orphanages and fire stations in Mexico, where he and his team donate much-needed items and provide support to the communities they serve.
Firefighter Piercy’s commitment to serving others — both on and off duty — reflects his family legacy and his own dedication to making a meaningful impact locally and beyond.
