Jaime Torres

Fire Captain

Jaime Torres is a captain and paramedic with the Orange County Fire Authority. Born and raised in Anaheim, he discovered his passion for firefighting on September 11, 2001, and pursued studies in fire technology at Santa Ana College. Jaime began his career as a handcrew and brush engine firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service and Cal Fire before joining OCFA.

A dedicated professional, Jaime has served in roles including relief assistant superintendent for the hand crew, peer fitness trainer, hazardous materials firefighter, academy instructor, and member of OCFA’s soccer team. He values the camaraderie and relationships built within the fire service and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community.

Jaime lives in Oceanside with his wife, Marisol, and their three children. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, practicing jiu-jitsu, RV camping, volunteering with the Young Marines Youth Leadership and Mentorship Program, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Reflecting on his heritage, Jaime says it gives him pride in his family’s journey and inspires him to serve as a positive role model for future generations. His dedication, hard work, and passion make him a valued member of OCFA and the communities it serves.
