Gabe Flores
Gabe Flores is a Firefighter Paramedic with the Orange County Fire Authority, bringing dedication, experience, and a commitment to community service to his role. Born in Los Angeles to first-generation Mexican American parents, Gabe is the youngest of three siblings. He completed his fire technology studies at Rio Hondo College and graduated from both the Rio Hondo Wildland Fire Academy and the El Camino College Basic Fire Academy.
Gabe began his fire service career with the U.S. Forest Service on a Type 2 Handcrew and a Type 3 engine before joining the OCFA Handcrew in 2013 and completing the OCFA Firefighter Academy in 2016. He now serves on Truck 81 in Garden Grove.
In addition to his firefighting duties, Gabe is an instructor for Mount San Antonio College and Rio Hondo College Fire Academies and has contributed to OCFA wellness and fitness programs, Handcrew training, and the Orange County Fire soccer team. He also dedicates significant time to the community as the president and co-founder of the Orange County Bomberos, a nonprofit organization providing educational and fire academy scholarships, mentorship, and outreach for low-income youth.
Gabe lives by the principle that knowledge should be shared to help others, reflecting his dedication to both serving the public and mentoring the next generation of firefighters. He resides in Eastvale with his wife Rebecca and their two young sons, enjoying bike rides, Dodgers games, and coaching soccer.
