Captain Danny Goodwin leads with dedication, experience, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of firefighters. He began his career with the Santa Monica Fire Department before joining OCFA, where he has contributed his expertise and leadership in a variety of roles.

Captain Goodwin has devoted significant time to giving back, including volunteering to run the cadet academy, which introduces young people to the fire service, and serving as a cadet post advisor at the very place he once trained as a fire explorer. His commitment to nurturing the next generation of firefighters reflects his belief in the importance of mentorship and community engagement.

Danny comes from a family dedicated to service. His wife served in the military and later pursued a career in law enforcement. Together, they spend their time raising their two young sons, instilling values of dedication, teamwork, and service.
