Candice Acosta
Candice Acosta is a fire apparatus engineer whose dedication, skill, and mentorship have shaped her career and inspired those around her. She began her career with the Santa Ana Fire Department and later joined OCFA, where she advanced to her current role as a fire apparatus engineer, responsible for driving and maintaining fire apparatus and supporting her crew during critical operations.
Throughout her career, Candice has embraced the opportunity to mentor and coach aspiring firefighters and those new to the profession, believing that a career in the fire service is attainable for anyone with passion, hard work, a positive attitude, and adaptability. She values the camaraderie of her fire family and the guidance and support it provides, noting that the bonds built in the stations are as meaningful as those with her own family.
Off duty, Candice enjoys spending time with her son, family, and friends. She loves camping and taking her off-road vehicles and bikes out to the desert. Her son is inspired by her example and may one day follow in her footsteps.
