Robert Hays IV

Firefighter Paramedic

Robert Hays is a third-generation firefighter whose dedication and drive have shaped his path in the fire service from an early age. Following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, both of whom served with LAFD, Robert pursued his passion by participating as a cadet, attending fire academy, and completing paramedic training, ultimately achieving his goal of becoming a firefighter/paramedic.

Robert enjoys spending time with his family, including his parents and sister, and in his free time he loves exploring the outdoors, surfing, and traveling. One of his most memorable moments in the fire service came when his father presented him with his helmet shield, commemorating the successful completion of probation — a milestone that symbolized years of hard work and dedication.

His advice to others pursuing their dreams is simple and powerful: “Don’t give up on your dreams no matter what stands in your way.”

Robert Hays’ commitment, determination, and passion for service make him a valued member of the fire service community, inspiring others with his perseverance and dedication.
